September 22, 2025 Installation of new Board Members
Every two years we elect new board members to run the guild. In September we do an Installation of officers. It's a short ceremony that involves gifts to thank the outgoing board, and hand over the rien to the new president.
October 27, 2025 7pm Designs by Tana
Tana is a fellow guild member who owns her own applique shop in Crowley. Every year she come out and does a program to show her new art work and show our newer members how to do the art of seamless applique. It's easy to do and can make a great quilt with the use of the blocks she's deigned.
March 23, 2026 7pm March MADNESS!!
This is a favorite night for many guild members. We clean out our sewing rooms and donate useable items to raffle off. Tickets cost a quarter each and the members have the best time. We end up with hundreds of items, and people walk away with so many great items. It's a wonderful way for the guild to make money. And sometimes we use the money to do something for one of a charitable organizations.
January 26, 2026 7pm
We will be having a presentation on how to make a temperature quilt. This will be our first meeting of the new year and a great way to start a new year. This is a quilt that takes a year to make. Using each day of the year and the temperature of the day.
February 23, 2026 7pm
Recognition panel of where we come from. Come meet past members and board members that started this quilt guild.
June 22, 2026 7pm
This is the night we honor Veterans in the area with our Quilts of Valor night. Members of the guild make patriotic quilts that we do a wrapping ceremony for our veterans. Afterwards we have refreshments and then have our regular business meeting.
August 24, 2026 7pm
Mystery Quilt Reveal Night!! After a year of getting clues, this is the night we get to see how everyone interpreted the clues and what they made with their choice of fabrics and quilting. This year we have a new designer for the Mystery Quilt, so it's going to be interesting to see how it turns out. The Mystery Quilt is a free pattern for all members to take part in. Clues are given out at each meeting by the committee chairperson.
